China Civil Engineering Society (CCES) recently announced the winners of the 17th Tien-Yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize. CSCEC ME’s Central Bank of Kuwait New Headquarters Building (CBK) Project has won the prestigious award, the only overseas project to have done so.
CSCEC ME’s project team conducted sophisticated technological research and unique method-statement studies during the construction stage, leading to the publication of 17 technical papers along with a book to summarize the project management achievements and technical innovations of the project. As one of the most iconic building projects in Kuwait, the Central Bank of Kuwait Headquarters has been printed on the back of the Five Kuwaiti Dinar banknote, which fully demonstrates the significance of the project in Kuwait and has become one of the most shining advertising cards among CSCEC’s completed overseas projects.
The Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize, established by the China Civil Engineering Society and the Beijing Zhantianyou Development Foundation for Science and Technology in 1999, is the highest prize for scientific and technological innovation in the field of civil engineering construction.
