CSCEC ME Won the 15th Arabia CSR Award

The 15th Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility Awards Gala Night was held on 5th October 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Hotel. As the first Chinese enterprise that won the award last year, CSCEC ME carries on this honour by winning the Arabia CSR Award in Construction Category again, making it the first Chinese construction enterprise that garners the award consecutively. The prize indicates the high recognition and approval to the Company’s involvement in CSR from the UAE mainstream society. Other winners include General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)-Dubai, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority-UAE, Roads and Transport Authority-Dubai, Public Prosecution-Dubai, Saudi Telecom Company (STC), Saudi Aramco, TOTAL ENERGIES, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), DP World, Engie, Zurich International Life, Bank of Africa BMCE Group, McDonald’s, Acer and Holiday Inn Al Barsha (HIAB).  CSCEC ME Vice President Mr. Zhu Jianchao, Chief Engineer Mr. Mansour Faried, Director of Safety Supervision & Administration Department Mr. Alex George and related staff attended the ceremony.

H.E Eng. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Aviation Department and member of the Executive Council of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, together with Ms. Habiba Al Marashi, President of Arabia CSR Network, and the Co-Founder and Chairperson of Emirates Environment Group presented the award to CSCEC ME.

The Arabia CSR Awards was designated by Arabia CSR Network, a leading knowledge and recognition platform for CSR and sustainability, and it is hailed as the most prestigious corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability related accolade across MENA region. Regarded as the “Green Oscars of the Middle East” and the “Sustainability Benchmark of the Arab Region”, the Arabia CSR Awards aims at recognizing the CSR initiatives of green champions from across the region. The winners were adjudged on the basis of international benchmarks include the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Principles, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) model, the 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, etc. Debut in 2008, the award has come to its “Crystal Anniversary” of 15th cycle, both the quantity and quality of its applicants hit a new high this year. During this cycle, up to 1,430 companies, institutions and organizations from 12 Arabian countries and regions in the MENA region applied for the awards, covering 29 sectors, including public policy, construction, energy, finance, healthcare, etc.
