CSCEC ME has recently received the Letter of Acceptance from the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the R1013/2F Improvement of Al Shindagha Corridor – Access to Dubai Island from Bur Dubai Side Project. The project is funded by Dubai Holding Group and is managed by the RTA.
Located in Dubai Creek, the project’s centerpiece is a 1,650-meter-long bridge spanning the waterway, connecting Dubai Islands with Bur Dubai. The bridge features a dual four-lane design with a total traffic capacity of 16,000 vehicles per hour. It also includes a dedicated lane for cyclists and pedestrians. Upon completion, the bridge is expected to drastically reduce travel time between Port Rashid and Dubai Islands, from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes, significantly enhancing regional traffic efficiency and connectivity.
