On the evening of 14th January, the 10th UAE Chinese New Year Gala was held at Dubai Opera. About 1,200 performers from different industries presented 28 wonderful programs for the audience. Performers came from 75 different countries, and their ages ranged from 5 to 68 years old, breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest number of nationalities involved in a single program. This is also the first time that Chinese expats worldwide have won the Guinness Record in the name of the Chinese New Year Gala, which shows the excellence of the Chinese People in the UAE.
This year’s Gala is centered on the two themes of Chinese New Year of Dragon and the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE and the integration of Chinese traditional culture, which has a long history of 5,000 years, with the cultures of various ethnic groups around the world.
In the opening program of this Gala, “Defending the Yellow River,” CSCEC Middle East employees joined the chorus together with the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, the Consulate General in Dubai, other Chinese enterprises, and expats representatives in the country.
