On December 15, 2023, CSCEC Middle East held the inauguration ceremony of “UWB College” and China State Construction “Belt and Road” Builders’ Quality and Skill Enhancement Center at Baniyas North Development Phase 3 Project. Maktoum bin Hammad, Companies Relation Manager, at Taqdeer Award, a first-of-its-kind award in the world recognizing excellence in workers’ welfare, Xue Hao, President Assistant of CSCEC Middle East, Zheng Chunguang, Director of Building Department, representatives from Corporate Culture Department, Safety Production Supervision and Administration Department, and more than 40 people from project team attended the event.
Xue Hao said in his speech that Up We Build is an important action to empower talents to grow innovatively, meet the needs of economic and social development in the Middle East region, and promote the high-quality development of the construction industry in the Gulf countries. China State Construction “Belt and Road” Builders’ Quality and Skill Improvement Center is one of the projects implemented by Up We Build Program. He emphasized that UWB College will be implemented through the “1+3+N” system, combining with CSCEC Middle East’s own development advantages. CSCEC Middle East will invest more resources, continuously improve its operation, and work together with the local government, industry partners, and upstream and downstream suppliers to contribute solid strength to the government vision of “We The UAE 2031”.
Mr. Bin Hammad said that CSCEC Middle East is one of the most influential general contracting companies in the Middle East with a large number of staff and workers. He is very pleased to see that CSCEC Middle East is able to adhere to the localization of labor, take the initiative to assume corporate social responsibility, and continue to promote the employment of employees in the UAE. He believes that the Up We Build program launched by China State Construction can realize the sustainable development of the construction industry in the UAE, and also contribute greatly to the “We The UAE 2031” vision launched by the UAE government.
