CSCEC ME successfully held the “7th CSCEC ME Technical Conference” on 5th October 2023 in Waldorf Astoria, Palm Jumeirah Dubai. Inspired by the theme “Leverage Automation Towards a Sustainable Construction”, the event delivered insightful topics focusing Automation on construction by key global experts from industry and academia. It also showcased best in class use cases and live robot and automated technology demonstrations. Overall set up was hybrid format as a combination of physical venue and online live streaming. In a nutshell, the gathering was remarkably phenomenal as our robust collaboration with our leading industry partners worldwide transpired a strong commitment in promoting latest technology in terms of Automation.

 

The event was warmly opened by Mr. Mansour Faried, CSCEC ME HQ Chief Engineer followed by VIP keynote address by Mr. Wang Shaofeng, CSCEC ME Chairman.  Mr. Wang strongly highlighted that our serious dedication to sustainable and green constriction is a core of our Company’s operation and strategies. CSCEC ME firmly believes that the integration of intelligent technology represents a significant move towards a more sustainable future. The event was also attended by Mr. Tian Sanchuan, CSCEC ME President and other Senior Management members.

 

In pursuit of supporting and promoting Automation, the event was able to gather 160 participants at the physical venue in parallel with 698 online viewers for live streaming. With a rational mix of participants from CSCEC ME, China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute, stakeholders, affiliated universities, market specialist and media partners.  It has gathered key clients from Emaar, Damac, Dubai Holding, DMCC and Lead Development.  Synergy of key consultants was robustly made through the presence of Parsons, Jacobs, Foster + Partners, Turner, and Engineering Consultants Group. The long term established cooperation with our knowledge partners has opened communication between from Heriot Watt University CESSC, Khalifa University RIC2D, American University of Dubai, ACI UAE Chapter and CIOB. The presence of our media partners has supported us expand a wider public reach with the collaborative efforts of DMG BIG 5 Global and Construction Business News Middle East.

 

Vast array of 17 thought provoking presentations has tackled the overall applications and beneficial gains of deploying the automated technologies suitable for design and construction. Presented case studies truly demonstrated innovation, that drives the industry towards a future where operations become more efficient, safety is enhanced, quality remains top-notch, sustainability is prioritized, and profitability is optimized. The most exciting part was the interactive face to face encounter with multiple robots and automated technologies where participants got the chance for actual feeling and experience.
