Successful Handover of CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C)’s First Hotel

CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C)’s first hotel project in the Middle East, Southern Sun Hotel Project, has been successfully completed and handed over to the Client United Group Holding in time on 11^th March with the TAKING OVER CERTIFICATE issued by the Client.  Meanwhile, an Appreciation Certificate has been issued from the Client Representative to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation on our professional performance and consistent support during the project execution. Southern Sun Hotel Project, a four-star hotel located inside the Abu Dhabi City Centre, is invested by the United Group Holding which is dominated by HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Presidency Affairs of the UAE . The Lead Consultant and Architect is the well-known international design firm Aedas with HLA as ID Designer & Consultant and Cuming International as Project Management. It is a 23-storey plus four basements building with an area of 48,000 square meters and total of 353 keys, offering royal suites, executive suites and standard rooms as well as hotel facilities such as all day dining, special restaurant, business centre, swimming pool, gym and 230 Nos. exclusive car parking. The work scope includes not only the structure, architecture, MEP and fit out for the building, but also the road works around it.

It is the Company’s first hotel project in the region, which awarded by the Client in 2010, and also a very important project for the Company as the higher management adjusted our business strategy due to the world finance crisis and Dubai debt crisis. When entering the new business field, we were facing many difficulties from the beginning, such as the congested construction plot with existing buildings at three sides and main road at the fourth side, the high standard of the interior decoration, a lot of design changes and huge coordination works between trades. However, with full support and dedicated guidance from the Company Management and relevant departments, we achieved the project target and fulfilled the Client requirement by working hard together with all relevant personnel from consultant, suppliers and subcontractors. Especially, the actual project quality almost achieved five-star hotel standard, which makes the hotel as the highest standard of four-star hotels in Abu Dhabi，according to ADTA’s evaluation. The successful implementation of the project has gained a good reputation and high appreciation in the hotel project contracting field, marking a significant step to our Company’s development. We are convinced that with the benefit of Expo 2020 Dubai and all the foundation we have made, CSCEC Middle East (L.L.C) will be able to achieve an even more brilliant future in contracting business.
