The MEED’s 11th Annual Kuwait Projects Conference took place from November 24th to November 25th at the Kuwait Regency Hotel. Mr. Yang Chunsen, Vice President of CSCEC ME and Mr. Li Biao, Deputy General Manager of Kuwait Representative Office attended the conference on behalf of CSCEC ME.
The 2015 edition of the Conference focused on the mega-projects shaping Kuwait’s landscape, spanning the PPP sector, healthcare, housing, power & water and large infrastructure projects. It further grasped key decisions & movements taking place within Kuwait’s projects market.
Mr. Li Biao participated in the Panel Sessionon the theme of “Developing mega-projects within Kuwait”. He briefly described CSCEC’s advantages to implement the mega-projects in Kuwait. Besides, he also pointed out the areas of concerns occurred in the daily operation, such as inconvenience in obtaining valid Kuwait visa and visa transfer procedure for foreign companies, malicious bidding by some large companies and other constraints in the Kuwait mega projects for foreign companies.
Representatives from the Ministry of Electricity and Water, Ministry of Health, Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects, Public Authority for Housing Welfare, Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority and the Kuwait Society of Engineers, Ministry of Education, Central Tender Committee (CTC) and some local well-known companies, banks were present at the Conference.
At the same time, a lot of attendees from government departments and local companies were attracted by CSCEC exhibition booth, which greatly improve our reputation in the Kuwaiti market.
