CSCEC Middle East Won MIPIM Awards (Tall Buildings Winner)

Viceroy, Dubai, Jumeirah Village Project of CSCEC Middle East was awarded the ‘Tall Buildings’ prize at this year’s prestigious Architectural Review MIPIM Future Projects Awards ceremony held in the main auditorium of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes on March 18th, 2016.

Viceroy, Dubai, Jumeirah Village Project is the second collaboration between CSCEC ME and Skai Holdings Ltd. The renowned global consultancy WS Atkins which designed Burj Al Arab has been appointed as lead designer of the project.

The project is located at the heart of Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), which is at the junction between Al Khail Road (E44) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). The proposed 59-storey high-rise tower  is  comprised of a 4-star hotel with 234 hotel rooms, 234 hotel apartments and 30 penthouses, retail, specialty restaurant, and relevant hotel amenities, facilities and support areas.

Viceroy, Dubai, Jumeirah Village Project has been praised to be a convincing structural design which works well at the base, and offers generous amenity space. The unconventional configuration of the building (each floor is rotated from the floor below by 30 degrees) enables the design to maximise the amount of living space, but it also required innovative solutions for its engineering and services. The resulting sky gardens concept has now been patented and registered as a trade mark in 168 countries for SKAI Holdings Ltd.

The MIPIM Awards is an internationally renowned real estate competition took place during MIPIM, the world’s property market.

The MIPIM Awards honour the most outstanding and accomplished projects, completed or yet to be built, around the world. Award categories cover all types of development, from health care to hospitality.
