CSCEC Middle East Holds Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Event

To enrich the lives of Chinese and international employees and further strengthen cultural integration between China and the UAE, CSCEC Middle East jointly hosted a Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Event with the Dubai Great Wall Language Institute on June 17, 2026. More than 60 representatives participated in the activity.

The event followed the theme of inheriting China’s excellent traditional culture and featured two distinctive sessions.

In the cultural lecture session, instructors from the Great Wall Language Institute introduced the origin and cultural significance of the Dragon Boat Festival through PPT presentations, interactive Q&A, and other engaging formats. The session highlighted the patriotism of Qu Yuan and traced the evolution of dragon boat racing—from honoring revered figures to its recognition as a national intangible cultural heritage. Through this session, participants were able to experience the depth of Chinese civilization’s traditions.

In the hands-on experience session, three interactive activity zones were set up onsite: colorful rope weaving, intangible cultural heritage sachet making, and Dragon Boat Festival calligraphy for blessings. Employees from different roles and different nationalities took part in these folk craft activities in an immersive way. The atmosphere was lively throughout, and through hands-on teamwork, employees bridged the gap in communication while further strengthening their sense of unity.
